unplugged - Inductive charging
Electric mobility is one of the major future topics in automotive. It will change and define the types of mobility and vehicles of the future.
Besides cables, inductive charging will gain significant relevance. It can take place both during standstill as well as while driving. Especially short term charging cycles are comfortably feasible and can help to improve the overall acceptance.
We actively promote the development and integration of such systems as well as their standardization. In publicly funded projects such as the EU-project “unplugged” we already defined relevant requirements and challenges for inductive charging concerning the infrastructure as well as the vehicle itself.
Research topics are among others
- usability
- interoperability
- integration into new vehicle system architectures

Model-Based Systems Engineering
Introduction and implementation of the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach
We move away from the traditional document-based approach and instead rely on interconnected digital models. A system model serves as a shared platform for communication between all teams involved in development. It acts as a central source of information, ensuring that crucial data is always up to date and accessible.
