Development of methods
From the point of view of customers, it is no longer sufficient for OEMs and suppliers to develop state-of-the-art technological systems. Customer orientation already during product development becomes more and more important.
Our aim is to develop relevant design criteria already at an early stage of development and show potential for optimization from the user's perspective.
Therefore, one focus of our work lies on developing subjective and objective evaluation methodologies.
Thanks to our extensive testing infrastructure we can develop user-centered evaluation methods in both laboratory-based and real-life assessments to evaluate your technical development concerning user acceptance, safety and efficiency.
Example of use: Steering feel
To analyze for example the subjective steering feel of steering systems, we divide the topic into seven subdimensions (e.g. comfort, feedback, precision or dynamics etc.), which we measure with the help of questionnaires in predefined testing situations.
We first define empirically based single situations for the system. Then we systemize these situations in order to reproducibly create them for different users in test rides. On this base we develop the questionnaire to evaluate and subsequently parameterize the steering system.
These and other similar studies help our customers to directly compare their system to those of competitors for example. Further, the results can also be used to create the same subjective driving feel with lower technological effort and costs.
