Scooter Crash Test
Together with our cooperation partner, the Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika) of RWTH Aachen University, we demonstrate in this test series possible collision scenarios of vehicles and scooters to raise awareness for possible safety issue.
As a partner of the automotive industry, we offer innovative engineering services. fka understands the vehicle as a complete physical, energetic and informational system and develops specialised and interdisciplinary solutions. Our services range from conception, simulation and design of vehicles, systems and components to prototype construction and testing.
Within the framework of various research and development projects we have gained comprehensive experience in the safety of Vulnerable Road Users (VRU) such as pedestrians and cyclists. Projects focused among others on the simulation of critical accident constellations, the evaluation of technical protective measures, such as pedestrian protection airbags and the performance of full-scale crash tests. With these full vehicle tests accident kinematics and injury severity of VRU can be realistically reproduced and evaluated. Our test system allows for individual and flexible crashes with both stationary as well as moving objects, dummies or vehicles.
For a realistic evaluation of injury root causes of scooter and e-scooter drivers and in order to deduct adequate safety measures, further tests with moving vehicles, biofidelic dummies and dedicated measurement equipment are necessary.
Please feel free to contact us on this topic at any time. We support you as a competent partner for crash tests and VRU safety in your next project.
